This section of the palace was dedicated to the Expeditionary Organization that was founded in 1635 by Sultan Murad IV. This military unit around the sultans emerged after Murad took the chiefs of the palace quarters on a campaign. In 1718, during the reign of Ahmet III, the building was enlarged and the green porphyry columns in front of it were also placed at that time. Today, this two-room ward is used as an exhibition hall for the sultan's clothes.
All the sultan's caftans and dresses from the time of the Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror (the founder of the palace in 15th century) are on display, along with some pieces of fabric, slippers and a few prayer rugs. Kaftans made from the rarest fabrics are placed in showcases prepared with great care.
In the hall, 275 works of art, including the clothes of the sultan, the clothes and accessories of the princes and lady sultans, are exhibited in a total of 44 showcases. Ceremonial caftans and talismanic shirts, which met with visitors for the first time, are among the most striking works of the exhibition.
